We are your hosts, Peter and Jackie Smothers. We got married in Lutsen at Caribou Highlands in 2004. Fifteen years and three kids later, we purchased 1st our home away from home here. More recently, we have added vacation homes on Gull Lake and Colby Cottage in our hometown, Taylors Falls, MN. These vacation rentals are own "Family Cabins"; as such, they are loaded with all the comforts of home you won't get with a traditional hotel stay. Hibernation House @ Lutsen is at 685 Moose Mountain Drive, Lutsen MN 55612 This home is truly one of the nicest ski-in, ski-out vacation rentals within the Lusten Mountains Ski Area. It is the last unit at the end of Moose Mountain Drive within the Caribou Highlands Resort with PREMIUM ski-in / ski-out access.
We have two homes on Gull Lake in Niswas: The Blue Ox Guest on Gull and The Loons Nest. Both of the Nisswa homes are over 3,250 sq ft with five beds and five baths. They are located in the Causeway on Gull Resort complex and include boat slips on Gull Lake and your own private fire pit. Our guests get full access to all the amenities of the Causeway on Gull Resort, including indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, arcades, and sports courts PLUS extremely close proximity to some of the best dining options on the Lake with Zorbaz, Bar Harbor and Lost Lake Lodge all within walking distance.
Colby Cottage is a four-bedroom, three-bath home spread over four levels. The property is tucked into the Taylors Falls hillside above the St Croix River, surrounded by deep ravines. Located within walking distance to Interstate Park and downtown Taylors Falls and centrally located in the St Croix Valley, it's the perfect hub for your stay in the Chisago Lakes Area.
Lindstrom Extended Stay Suite is a private, fully furnished two-bedroom unit located in the Red Key Realty office building. Perfect for short to medium-length stays in the Chisago Lakes area. Fully furnished right down to the linens and utensils, you get the comfort of home with the convenience of a hotel stay.
